Soni Camp

Hi All!

We just got back from Soni Camp - a Nature Away Camp that is used by school and student groups. We had a great time and our Tie Dying Activity was a big hit !!!

The weather was very cold - it was even snowing a little. As a result, we needed to cancel a planned hike but conducted an indoor scavenger hunt instead - it was great fun and a fabulous way to get students into mixed groups. The kids are clearly feeling settled and comfortable. Their growing confidence in their surroundings is obvious :-)

Today the sun is shining & it is lovely out - if a little brisk. We were able to get outside briefly this morning and then settled in the gym for some Japanese games and then some tradition Bamboo crafts.

Tomorrow is a family day. A few families are going to Kyoto. Others are traveling to a Ninja Castle. The following day is a group trip to Nara - the first true capitol of Japan. 2010 is the celebration year of Nara's 1300th anniversary ! WOW!

Anyway - All is well. Kids are settled and comfortable and having a wonderful experience. Hope all is well in Cleveland. I'll post some photos later.

Todd
